Just a reminder women, get your Wine and Blankets ready!  Remember the showers are better later in the evening but sometimes the days can be off so you could see some falling starts tonight; or even Sunday. The peak is supposed to be Saturday towards early hours 2 or 3 am. I may be up that late so I will be checking but it’s always a nice thing if you have great weather and love to watch for those stars. Here is a star chart if you don’t know what Orion Looks like. And that is ok! I know not everyone is into our night skies. But it is free and something that people forget to do, look up.

Orions BELT

And for those of you who don’t’ even know how to look for Orion’s BELT here is what you look for:

Always look for his belt and go from there to find the rest of the constellation. This shower will seem to emanate out of this constellation. Find Orion’s Belt and you will know right where to watch for the comets and their tails and falling stars!
Good Luck Let me Know what you all see!!!
 What else can you see?

How could I forget! If you happen to be up an hour before sunrise this weekend you can see LEO; my constellation and the Planet Venus and Saturn along with Regulus in the night sky!! If I can finally see Saturn over the orchard and the orchard doesn’t get in my way you will hear me yelp from many states away.!   I’ve seen Venus and right now it happens to be in a crescent phase. It was really shocking to see through a telescope in the shape of our Moon. I wasn’t expecting it and it was beautiful and so very bright. If you have kids who are interested in the night sky or if you are, you can get a really good scope for under $400 to view planets with. They can be bulky but are light, hard to use at first but so very rewarding.
